Danny had bailed on the guys. That was the point. He'd taken off and left everyone else to their own devices. It just so happened that Kenick had hooked up with Riz after that, and he wasn't sure where things stood at this point, kind of together except not in a formal way. No declarations of true love or wearing each others jackets. Thankfully, because he looked terrible in pink. But that wasn't Kenickie's problem today.

His problem was staying in class long enough for the teacher to mark him there and resisting the urge to split right after. As much as he loved Rydell (read: loathed), this was his last year there. He wanted to graduate, for real this time, and get the hell out. Repeating one year was bad enough. Who wanted to do it again? Besides some dumb fuck with a self-harm streak. This was what Kenickie was thinking about when the bell finally rang and he sauntered out after everyone else.
